Delphin Filter Cleaner

Delphin Filter Cleaner 1 & 5L

Liquid delphin filter cleaner product for cleaning the sand filter. Removes limescale, organic deposits and other contamination on the sand filter.

Dosage

1L per sand filter of 75kg of sand.

• Turn off your circulation pump
• Close all ball valves and set the 6 way valve to CLOSED
• Vent the filter so that the pressure is away from the sand filter
• Open the lid and pour the filter cleaner onto the sand filter
• Let it work for 24 hours
• Close the lid and “BACKWASH” the sand filter sufficiently long (5 – 7min)
• Rinse after “RINSE”

Why clean the sand filter?

Cleaning the sand filter ensures that it always works optimally. Using sand for years can cause you to have encrusted pieces in the filter material that can cause channel formation. This causes poor filtering.

Dirt and limescale can also sometimes stick stubbornly to the filter sand and form limescale. This also causes poor filtration and cloudy water. Clean the sand filter once every year.
