A robot also climbs on the walls, why and how does a swimming pool robot do this?

How does a swimming pool robot climb the wall and why?
Based on the suction of the pump in the robot, the robot sticks to the floor or wall of the pool. The brushes also have an influence, below an overview of the impact of pool robot brushes on the operation:
- rubber brushes :
- most common
- slightly less grip on smooth surfaces
- wear-resistant
- suitable for all types of swimming pools
- strong cleaning power
- mousse brushes :
- suitable for smoother surfaces
- a lot of grip
- wear out faster
- less cleaning power
- combined brushes
- suitable for mosaic swimming pool or very smooth surfaces
- very grippy
- the mousse rings are maintenance sensitive
- good cleaning power
A pool robot climbs up the walls to clean the WALL and WATERLINE. Usually the dirt present on the wall is small, the waterline, on the other hand, usually needs extra cleaning power.
So the conclusion is that a robot mainly climbs to intensively brush the waterline.
TIP : many Dolphin pool robots have a function in the program to clean the waterline extra.
The causes; why does the pool robot not climb?
Here is an overview of all the reasons why a pool robot does not climb:
- The water quality is not good, the pH value is too low or too high, there is insufficient disinfection.
- Walls are slippery, this is common in bio swimming pools.
- Brushes that are on the robot wrong.
- The robotic filters is in the device constipated causing it to lose suction.
- The outflow of the water to the impeller obstructed
My pool robot does not climb the wall, how do I solve this?

- Test the robot without a filter, does the pool vacuum now climb?
- If yes, you can do the replace filter or clean
- If not, try one of the other solutions
- Get the water quality right
- the PH value which we recommend 7,2
- the redox/chlorine value must be above 700mv or 1 PPM are
- Give a chlorine shock if the walls are smooth or if the redox/chlorine value is too low
- If you have a swimming pond, it is best to use the kill algae with Zinc oxide
- In a swimming pool with a smooth surface, eg mosaic, it is best to use the use brushes with extra grip like the miracle brush ring or e.g. the miracle bruches
- Use Aquafinesse Pool Water Care, this product is one of the only products on the market that breaks down the fatty biofilm.
